In response to COVID-19 and a six-county “shelter in place” public health order issued Monday, Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry will adjust service effective Tuesday, March 17. The adjusted schedules will be in place until further notice.
The public health order includes Marin and San Francisco counties, both of which are served by Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry. Public transit, including Golden Gate bus and ferry service, is considered an essential service and will continue to operate under the order. There will be no Golden Gate ferry weekend service until further notice.
Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry also maintain daily cleaning schedules and protocols in response to COVID-19. This includes wiping down interior surfaces on our buses and ferries that passengers are likely to touch with disinfectant at least once every day.
