Founded in 1927, the St. Francis Yacht Club is steeped in over 75 years of Yachting and racing traditions. Part of the attraction of racing at St. Francis Yacht Club are the excellent and challenging racing conditions unique to San Francisco Bay. Both physically beautiful and naturally demanding, the Bay provides racers with the ultimate in wind, current and weather conditions for truly competitive and exciting sailing. With the skyline of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Islands as a backdrop, the spectacle of the big boats competing on the Bay should dazzle spectators and visitors alike as the competition is guaranteed to be fierce and intense as the sailors race for the champion’s title.
